I plan to paint an abstract illustration of "the valley of the shadow of death" from the scripture Psalms 23:4 in the Bible. My materials will include acrylic paint, a used 15 5/8th x 11 13/16th canvas and a random assortment of scrapbook pieces. The latter of the two have been sourced from Goodwill. The overall theme of the painting is about one's spiritual journey as they walk along with Christ. The journey is difficult, one will encounter many tests and trials along the way. But if one clings onto the Holy Spirit (respresented as a shield), they will claim their victory. It's also a personal reminder to not be afraid to pursue my dreams and ambitions no matter what hardships I face.
