As always, I will choose a symbol I wish to recreate and add layers of gaming memorabilia (playing cards, poker chips, dice, etc.) to the canvas before painting it into a cohesive image. At the moment, I want to make a star or flower image, but you never know what the base image will inspire! Normally I add upcycled materials to a new blank canvas and I am excited to add a mystery later into the creative process to see what it inspires. My art is an exploration of yin yang relationships and finding beauty in the balance of extremes - past and present, playful and serious, chaos and order, etc.
