Inspired by the style of Alphonse Mucha, I wanted to create a my own version of a beautiful woman in his style. My painting features a portrait of a lovely dark skinned woman encircled in various bright yellow flowers. I wanted to portray her as a warm, playful, delicate person. It's not often that we get to see dark skinned women presented as beautiful, delicate, and desirable.
