2-Day Mask Making Class with Cig Neutron

This is a two-day class: Sunday, September 29 from 11am-3pm and Sunday, October 6 from 11am-5pm. Completion of Cig's Lifecasting Class is not a prerequisite, but it is highly recommended.

Dive into the world of mask making with Cig Neutron, the Face Off All-Star champion and celebrated special effects artist, in this immersive 2-day workshop. With over 15 years of experience crafting iconic makeups and creatures for the screen, Cig will guide you through the entire process of producing your own custom mask.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the art of designing and sculpting a latex and polyfoam mask, followed by molding and casting your creation. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is designed to accommodate all skill levels—no prior experience necessary.

What to Expect:

• Day 1: Learn the fundamentals of mask design and start sculpting your unique creation. 4 hours.
• Day 2: Dive into molding and casting techniques to bring your mask to life. 6 hours.
• Optional Day 3: Perfect your mask by adding color and detail during a dedicated painting session. More info to come!
• Custom Fit: We recommend taking the Lifecasting Class beforehand to create a lifecast of your face, which you can use as the foundation for your mask. Lifecast students will receive a $50 discount on this workshop. If you don’t have a lifecast, a foam head will be provided.
